Testimonial
Anthony just wanted to thank you again for teaching me so much over the past 2 years. I’ve loved every minute of it. You really helped me with my confidence too. I’m now signing every Sunday to the songs with the singers at the front of the church. Something I’ve always wanted to do, wanted to make my church more deaf aware and also show everyone how beautiful BSL is.
When my first daughter was born, I took her to a Sing and Sign Class where we learned some BSL signs; mostly to do with eating and drinking, changing nappies and of course animals.
I signed with my next three children too and it always amazed me how they could tell me some pretty important stuff before they could speak.
Fast forward a few years and I found myself at an event with two deaf ladies. No interpreter was provided for them and it was apparent they weren’t being considered properly when one of the games involved Chinese whispers.
I tried my best to relay the information to them but I knew if I just had a better grasp of BSL then it would have been so much better and we could have communicated properly.
When a friend told me about Anthony’s classes I jumped at the opportunity. I’m hoping to go on to Level 4 and maybe even further. It has been a revelation learning BSL and I’m looking forward to continuing the classes.
