At Sign Source our aim is to make learning sign language accessible and affordable to all.
We deliver high-quality teaching in deaf awareness and British Sign Language throughout the UK through in-person and web-based training.
Tailored for primary and secondary education, workplaces, sport, medical, health & social care, hospitality, retail, theatre, the arts and community settings, Sign Source can be used in groups or by individuals to learn the vocabulary and phrases needed to engage with deaf people effectively.

Education courses include:
- Introduction to British Sign Language including basic words/phrases and deaf awareness
- Games, activities such as BSL crosswords and songs to make learning fun
- Six learning sessions x 30 minutes for the secondary school model
- Five learning sessions x 10-15 minutes for the primary school model to reflect the age of the children
- Facility for home learning
- Draft certificate for issue by schools or employers on completion of studies
Workplaces, Medical, Hospitality, Retail, Sport, Theatre and the Arts courses include:
- Introduction to British Sign Language including basic words/phrases and deaf awareness
- In person seminars and workshops with a qualified BSL teacher
- Certificates for each learner and a framed certificate for the relevant setting outlining the accomplishments
Community and Health & Social Care courses include:
- Introduction to BSL using appropriate, specific language and deaf awareness
- Games, activities such as BSL crosswords and songs to make learning fun for residents and participants
- Certificates for leaners and a framed certificate for each centre or care home

Summer Camps
We run Easter and Summer ‘Tennis and Sign’ weekly camps with approximately 60 primary school children per camp; popular because sport and education teaching is delivered at the same time.
